Somewhere in Karjat, we got lost, looking for the river. Not that it mattered, a brief sojourn into a village, where the girl we asked for directions didn’t even turn her neck..humph.

Where am I?

Just as it was getting dark, we chanced upon the river. Woo hoo.

Soon it was time to leave..the sun was going going gone and we kinda really didn’t know where we were. Hit the main road, stopped for chai at Kashid, not the coast village, but this one is on the Karjat-Murbad road. A wise man told us u could take the Neral road, and off we went. Long winding roads, low light, and arguments about whether what we were seeing was the North star or not.
